This series of work was made in 2018 and looks at iconic features in the Salthill area. I am interested in the contrast between the fluidity and mystery of the sea and the rigidity and opacity of the man made structures that meet it. This work employs drawing, painting, collage and printmaking processes to infer the properties and movement of the sea, sky and rock and the experience of the swimmers in these elements.
